Meet Christina Korp, former singer turned astronaut wrangler
Growing up in a family of ten in South Dakota, Christina bagged the gig of a lifetime when she answered an ad in the Hollywood Reporter from an Apollo astronaut.
Meet Christina Korp! Former business manager to Buzz Aldrin, the second man on the moon. What makes Christina so important? Aside from her musical career which can be traced back to the 90s, working with Warner Chapel Music and handling the likes of Ringo Starr, Korp has devoted her life to space. Particularly those who have an interest in pursuing a career in space, but may not have all the jigsaw pieces to put it all together.
Korp worked closely with The Aldrin Foundation, who create educational resources primarily aimed at the k-12 demographic, spearheaded by Andrew Aldrin, the son of Buzz Aldrin.
Following her several years work with The Aldrin Family Foundation, Korp progressed to setting up her own organisation in the form of Purpose Entertainment. A multi-media events company which draws upon many of Korp's past experiences, such as her overall organisation of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11's gala at the Kennedy Space Centre in July of 2019.
